My name is Rebekah, I am 17 years old. When I was 14 my family and I found out that I had severe scoliosis, Chiari Malformation, Syringomyelia, and tethered cord. The September of my freshman year of high school I had a tethered cord surgery which kept me out of school for 2 weeks. Nine months later, June of my freshman year I had scoliosis surgery which made me miss the last week of school. Missing as much school as I have while be able to keeps up grades and playing sports shows that I don’t let obstacles get in my way.
