Hi my name is Amanda Schuebel and I am currently a senior at Upper Merion area High school. I am the captain of my high school’s boys varsity golf team. I started golf when I was 7 years old through Girls Golf of Valley Forge, and have been competing in tournaments ever since. I participate in PGA Junior Tour, K.O Tour, PGKT, and the U.S Kids Tour. My freshman year of high school I was named the first female golfer to make it to district at my high school and was ranked 4th in the state through the PGA Junior tour. My sophomore year I placed 2nd at my PAC Conference with an 83 and received first team all division. During my junior year I won the Academic All-Conference and went to districts. Currently my senior year I placed for PAC conference and went to districts for the 4th year in a row. At the Girls Golf Classic at Lindfield National Golf Club I have my first Hole in One. Along with golf I play soccer and basketball both team sports that rely on communication, trust and commitment. Golf has always been my favorite sport for which you do have a team and support system, but all your hard work and mistakes are determined on how you do and you alone. It has taught me to be confident in myself and independent. Golf has also gotten me 2 of my 3 jobs. I currently work in the Pro-shop at Jeffersonville golf club, caddy at Gulph Mills Country club, and work at Competative Edge Sports. For school extracurricular other then sports I am apart of DECA (a business club), Octagon (Community Service club), Viking Links (mentor HS freshman), National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Spanish Club, Minding your Mind, and FCA
