July 2021Personal Statement
My freshmen year was filled with a lot of hard work and pushing myself to play my best golf. My main goal was to secure a top five varsity spot and maintain it. The year was filled with a lot of practice and hard work that ultimately paid off. After most matches I headed straight to the driving range to workout any problems with my swing. Constantly having to fight and keep my spot on the team is what drove me. I had to earn the top spot on the roster and had to push myself even harder to keep it. Being in this environment taught me that working hard and being persistent really pays off.
Through this sport, I've learned and achieved many life lessons and skills. The most important being my undying perseverance to continue improving in every way possible. I believe that I possess strong problem-solving and time management skills. I know I’m able to push myself to the next level both academically and athletically
