During my college experience, I wish to accomplish quite a few goals. My first priority is my schooling. I'm going to college to develop an education that will prepare me for a career. My grades are extremely important to me, so I will work hard to make sure they're sufficient. Another aspiration I have is to better myself as a golfer and expand my knowledge of the sport. I've been training and practicing for hours on end to improve my game, so I plan to continue that throughout college. Also, I look forward to having a coach who can help me with my course management, my short game, and my mental game. Finally, I'd like to establish life-long relationships that will help me grow as a friend, a co-worker, a teammate, and an overall better person. These goals will give me the most fulfilling and rewarding college experience.
I am a good candidate for collegiate golf because I will make positive contributions to the program both on and off the course. I'm very easy to get along with and always optimistic. Along with my commitment to golf, I'm dedicated to my studies and making this the most beneficial experience possible to build a future.
This year, my scores have not been quite as low as they were last year, and they are not yet what I would like them to be. However, I have been playing more difficult courses to prepare myself for college tournaments. These tournaments I've played in have much stronger fields, and the courses have longer distances and harder course ratings than I'm used to. I've had some high and low scores, but it's important to mention that I have shown my ability to make strong comebacks after bad opening rounds. I've used this summer as an opportunity to challenge myself; playing in more difficult events will better prepare me for my college experience.
I'm different from other recruits because I have a good head on my shoulders, along with low scores on the course and high grades in the classroom. I have a strong character and a positive attitude. I'm generally happy and extremely patient. As for my athletics, I am highly disciplined. I'm a fast learner, and I don't get discouraged easily. I am a dedicated worker and an encouraging team player. With my schoolwork, I tend to focus better and get exceptional grades while being involved in an extra-curricular activity such as golf. I'm a diligent worker, and I earn good grades through hard work. As I said before, my academics are important to me and my college experience. Overall, I would be a great addition to a college golf team in 2015.
