Madelyn Myers '21 Recruiting Profile

My love for golf began at age fourteen.  After being exposed to golf by my father and friends, my interest for golf began.  Because I started later that others, I knew I had to be fully committed to this sport.  During the summer months, I practiced at my local golf course.  Throughout this time period, I took multiple lessons and participated in various tournaments.  With all of my hard work, I was able to letter my sophomore year on the varsity golf team.

Currently, I am fortunate that my family provided me with an indoor golf area to practice during the winter months.  Despite my improvements, I realize I still have many goals to accomplish.  I am now more motivated to improve my golf game.  I approach my golf game similar to my academics.  Every set back makes me more determined to find a way to achieve my goals. One of my strengths is my physical power that stands out to many. I strive to stay focused during my golf game, which helps me plan each shot. I am more determined than ever to push myself to my full ability. I am excited to see where this journey takes me.
