October 2021Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Ava Bankston. I am a junior at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, and will graduate in 2023. I placed 4th in the TSSAA State Tournament in October 2020 as a sophmore (Large Private School Division) and also made All-State. Just placed 2nd in the TSSAA State Tournament on Oct 4-5, 2021 shooting 72/72. Also won my last Hurricane Junior tournament in which I competed shooting below par on Day 1 (70) and 75 on Day 2. I have good length and consistently play courses about 6000 yards.
I am currently a 0.1 handicap and improving quickly (was a 2.0 several months ago). My academics are also extremely important to me, as I take Honors and Advanced Placement classes in Math, Science and English, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Scheduled to take the ACT in December 2021.
