Megan Lampe '20 Recruiting Profile

    Hi, my name is Megan Lampe and I am 16 years old, a Junior, and graduate in the class of 2020. I live in Brenham, Texas, my home golf course is the Brenham Country Club, and it's like my second home. I first started playing golf in January of my Freshman year. My love for the sport has grown tremendously since I started playing and my goal is to play collegiate golf. I know that to achieve that goal a lot of work comes into that like lowering my score, practicing, and being committed to the sport. I love golf because it's relaxing, you get to have fun, you can play the sport all your life, and you can also never beat the game. When it comes to practicing, I practice at least 4 times a week and play usually 2 times every weekend, practice is a good way to lower your score. My stats right now include around a 85 in practice and 90 in tournaments. In academics my GPA is a 4.09 and I am number 16th in my class out of 355. After high school I am hoping to pursue my academics majoring in Accounting or Biochemistry.  As a golfer and a student, I really hope to achieve my goal of playing collegiate golf and pursue my academics in college.
