When I was a little girl I thought golf was for old people, until I was 7 years old. My dad took me out on the course and said to just hit one ball and see what you think. From there on it has been a dream of mine to play college golf. My dad is a Big 12 and SEC umpire, so I would travel with him to go see new colleges. This made my dream of playing golf in college even stronger. Playing golf for many years has taught me to always keep a calm mind, when playing and off the course. You can't study if you aren't calm and you for sure can't play a good round of golf without being level-headed. My goal in high school is to break 80 and have all A's. I will work towards breaking 70 when I am in college and keeping an all A's streak when it comes to my studies. Student alway's comes before athlete. When playing golf I have had more than one hiccup along the way. I may or may not have thrown a club when I had just started playing, but those moments are what have made me stronger and learn how to mentally play golf.
