I’m a 5’8” golfer from Flower Mound Texas and I will graduate in 2019. I have been playing golf for six years, with three of those years playing tournaments at various levels. I was 1st Team All-Districts and 1st Regional Qualifier (6A) from what is widely considered to be the most competitive Region in the state of Texas. I’ve been first on the Varsity Team of my high school since being a Freshman. I’m always the first player to get to the course and the last to leave. My strength as a player is how long I hit the golf ball. My coach considers me to be a leader on my team; my teammates and friends trust and rely on me when they need help with the mechanics of their swing or simply for moral support.
My preference for a college is somewhere that year-round golf is possible; colleges in states in and around Texas, the South and the west coast would be ideal. I want to go to a college where I can thrive athletically and academically. I would love to go to a school that feels like one big family. A school steeped in tradition and that places an equal emphasis on academics and athletics would appeal to me greatly. I also want to go to a school where I’ll have playing time, and I can contribute to my team as much as I’ve been able to contribute to my high school team.
