Alexandra "Sasha" Amelang '20 Recruiting Profile

From my early years of middle school, I have used golf as a way to express myself and utilize my strong work ethic. I have since moved on to varsity golf in high school and played in district, regional and state tournaments as well as many tournaments in other leagues such as the Southern Texas Professional Golf Association and the Houston Golf Association. My team mates see me as a hard worker who will always give it my all because they recognize that I truly love the sport.

On the course, I have accurate chip shots, a stellar putting game, and consistently accurate 230-yard drives. I am also known for keeping a positive attitude and recovering easily from my rough shots. I am a firm believer in enjoying my time while I play while still maintaining an extreme focus. I also make sure that I am very collaborative with my coaches and work well with them to improve my game.

I also bring my strong work ethic into the classroom and value an education that will push me towards success. I work hard to keep my grades high and my golf score low and I am looking for a school that values hard work on the course and in the classroom.  I look forward to the great opportunity that is college golf and am very excited to lead your team to success!
