Joanna Kass '19 Recruiting Profile

From a young age, I have been involved in multiple sports including swimming, tennis, field hockey, and golf. I played two varsity sports as a freshman, but in the middle of the year I made a difficult decision to focus primarily on golf. Looking back now, it was the best choice that I could have made.

My high school team is very young, and I participated on the first girls’ varsity golf team at State. As a result, I have put in lots of hard work and taken a leadership role on the team. My teammates know me as a consistent player that they can count on. I have a straight drive that is always down the middle, and I am a very accurate iron player. I recover well from my mistakes and always look for an up-and-down to save par. I am also very coachable and extremely focused during practice.

Academics are very important to me, and I want to attend a college that will challenge me in the classroom as well as on the course. I study hard to maintain a high GPA and have made High Honor Roll each semester.

With my work ethic and leadership skills, I know I can be a great asset to your team. I am really looking forward to the opportunity of playing college golf!
