My name is Savannah Monahan. I am a Junior at Lutheran South Academy in Houston, Texas. I've been playing golf since I was 5. I stared playing in tournaments when I was 7. My freshman year I went to Friendswood High School and made the varsity team. My sophomore year I transferred to a private school. During my sophomore season of golf we had a few girls that had never played golf before and and the season when by they asked my to help them improve their skills and we ended up getting fourth place as a team for state and I got tenth place as an individual. I've been shooting high 70's and low 80's. I usually get in the top ten in each tournament. I practice golf at least two and a half hours a day. Whenever my coach cancels practice I always make sure to go out. One reason I've been playing golf is because I've always been interested in the sport and I love playing golf with my friends and family. I got player of the year (MVP) my freshman year, and I got the Pioneer Golf Award my sophomore year. I participate in other activities at school I'm a trainer for our football team, I'm on the drill team, I'm also involved with the PALS program, I'm a member of sports broadcasting, and the Pioneers against cancer club. I also work for Baby Goat Yoga Houston. I would really appreciate it if you could watch me over the next couple of years to see me improve! Thank You!
