Personal Statement

Grades, Goals, Golf, Gratitude, Grit, and Graduation are my life aspirations. My name is Lexee Wade and I'm a 2024 golfer. I have been playing golf for almost 2 years, and I would love to play on the collegiate level. My ambition and competitiveness sets me apart from my peers. As a student, I strive towards excellence. As an athlete, I never accept anything less than my best. Golf has played a major part of my life throughout my high school years so far, and I hope to continue that journey in the future. I have been on the Varsity Golf team since my freshman year. My golf goals for this year are to become more consistent and lower my score into the low 80's high 70's. In between my school tournaments, I plan to play other tournaments with the AJGA.

At the Academy of golf dynamics, I attended a short game clinic. We went over proper technique for pitching chipping, bunker play, and putting. I now feel like I have a good grasp on how to execute the right shots.

I shot a 96 not the best score I could have put up, but Lake Arlington doesn’t have a driving range so I had no idea what my swing was going to look like that day.

After shooting my career round a 74 on Wednesday the 15th, I struggled to meet the same expectations when shooting a 99. In the blazing heat I fought my hardest to stay positive and push through. I plan to keep working to improve my game to my best ability.

I shot a 107 the first day, and on the second day I fought back and shot a 89 for a total of 196. The first day I was being hard on myself because I wasn't hitting the ball the way I wanted to, but on the second day in the rain and 30 MPH winds I figured out how to fight back and work with the swing that I had.

3 Day Camp held by Randy Dalton, Kyle Jerome, and Kyle Edwards to work on technique, fundamentals, strategies, and drill correction. After attending the camp, my swing path has changed and my ball flight is straighter and more consistent. My miss hits are now small tight fades.
