I am Raquel Flores. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico and was introduced to golf at the age of 7 by my family. In Monterrey, I played in La Zona Norte, a league of the most prestigious golf tournaments in Mexico. Later on, I came to the United States to begin 6th grade. As I transitioned to middle school, my interest in golf became of more importance. Since then, now attending Sharyland High School, I’ve worked extremely hard to improve my golf game and I practice every day at Palmview Golf Course. In addition, I prepare myself by doing conditioning and athletic training during the week.
Every day, I look forward to making improvements to my golf swing and I work hard to achieve my daily goals. College golf is an aspiration of mine since I want to improve my game and compete at a high level. Not to mention, I like to challenge myself through rigorous academic courses, such as Dual Enrollment and Advance Placement classes. Due to my hard work, I am now part of the National Honor Society.
Although golf is a crucial part of my daily life, I enjoy taking initiative by being involved in various groups of my community. Moreover, I love spending time with my family and doing various activities with them, such as golfing, fishing, and skiing during the winter. Other interests of mine are listening to music as well as cooking and baking.
