Ainsley Hergert '23 Recruiting Profile

As a passionate athlete, I tried out for the freshman volleyball team and did not make it. This disappointment pushed me to seek out different opportunities to become a Varsity athlete. In my third year of golf, I hold a leadership position as number two on the Varsity team. I excel in tournament play and thrive in competitive environments.

I plan to major in Education and focus on coaching students to believe they can achieve their goals even if their path changes as mine did from volleyball to golf. Both my parents are educators and I see the impact they have on coaching student's paths each day.  I enjoy participating in my community events, volunteering regularly for teachers, and introducing the young kids I babysit to golf. Because community is so important to me I look forward to finding an additional community to be a part of at college.
