Maria Ortiz Zamora '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maria Ortiz , I'm from Mexico City and I'm currently in my junior year at Reagan High School. I have been playing golf since I was 5 years old. Since the moment I stepped on the golf course at The Golf Club of Mexico, I fell in love with the sport. I started competitive golf when I was 7 years old, and since then I have never stopped competing. I enjoy every single part that goes into the game of golf. Two things I love the most about golf are the competitiveness in every tournament and the learning from your mistakes after each round of golf. No matter the circumstances your game will not be  perfect every time, but one thing you can for sure do is gain a skill of accepting and training your brain to learn from your errors. My long term goal is to become professional.  I know it will take a lot of hard work and dedication,  but I know for a fact that I'm willing to put all that work and time no matter what it takes. And most importantly I am sure I have what it takes to accomplish my dreams.
