Almost 5 years ago my life changed in many ways. I lost a very important person in my life in a tragic accident. I have played golf since I was 7 years old but see it in a different light after that life changing event. I live my life with a different purpose because I know how it can change. I put 110 percent into everything that I do which includes golf and academics. I am a brown belt in taekwondo and it has helped me in many life situations. I will be testing for my 1st Dan Black Belt June of 2023 which to me is such an accomplishment. My instructor has taught me many things that have helped me grow as a person. Taekwondo is about learning self defense, self discipline and respect. Taekwondo has also helped me build on my goals in class and in life. Taekwondo has also helped to improve my golf game because of the rotation with kicks and swinging a club. Golf has also taught me how to work through tough situation and come out on the other side with a smile. I have enjoyed all the people that I have met doing both taekwondo and golf. I started playing high school golf in 2021-2022 school year and I have the privilege of being taught by someone who understands my game and can help me as a person be better and improve my golf game. My aspirations are to play golf at a higher level along with getting a good education that will help me progress farther in my life.
