Hi, my name is Allyson Childs. I am a 16-year old Senior at Heritage High School in Leesburg, Virginia.
One summer in middle school, a friend invited me to attend a golf camp with her. At the time, I had never picked up a golf club except to play putt-putt with family. I had a great time at the camp and quickly fell in love with the sport. I had played softball and swam since I was five years old. But to me, golf was like no other sport I had played before. I love that the sport challenges me both physically and mentally. Over the last few years, golf has become my primary sport, bypassing softball and swimming.
I started playing more competitive golf after entering high school, and was fortunate to make my high school varsity golf team as a Freshman and as the only girl on the team. I look forward to playing more competitive golf and continuing to improve my game.
Regardless of the sport I am playing, you will always find me positively motivating and leading my team, both on and off the course or field. I love to rally my team and give encouragement and guidance whenever I can. I have a really strong work ethic and try to always have a positive attitude. And, I enjoy carrying that reputation with my teammates and coaches.
Thank you for taking time to review my profile, and I look forward to hearing from you!
