Hi, my name is Madison Rizzo, I am 17 years old, and I am a Senior at Riverside High School in Leesburg, VA. I started playing golf with my dad and older sister when I was 9 years old shortly after I lost my mom in 2016. My dad introduced us to the game as a way to try and build a stronger relationship with soon to be teenage girls. The game of golf has not only been a positive influence for my family, it has helped me grow as a student athlete and a young woman. The game has taught me discipline, sacrifice and more importantly, humility.
I have had a lot of exposure to competition and have been playing in tournaments all over the country for the past couple of years. As i've been playing golf I have been pushed, and I have learned what sacrifices I need to make in order to achieve my goals.
As a student athlete, grades are a extremely important, as I am not allowed to practice if I fall behind. I maintain a 3.75 GPA and have already started college placement test preparation courses. I have a lot of people helping me and supporting me throughout this whole process and i'm excited for the rest of my journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you.
