Personal Statement

My name is Abigail Roll, and I am currently a rising Senior at Issaquah High School.

I have been golfing for over 10 years. I am on my high school varsity golf team and will be the Team Co-Captain in 2023. This year IHS finished 3rd at the 2022 4A-WIAA State Championship & I finished 25th individually, shooting a season best 79 in the first round. I received the IHS 2022 Coaches & Most Inspirational Awards and the 2021 Most Improved award.

I have participated in the Washington Jr Golf Association, Rocky Mountain Tour, Notah Begay III Jr. Golf, Jr PGA, Operation 36, Drive, Chip and Putt, and numerous golf camps and golf tournaments. For the past 4 years I have been working at a summer golf camp for kids.

I would like to be on a college golf team, and would also like to pursue a college education, to study education, because I would like to be a teacher in the future.

In addition to being a golfer, I engage in my school theatre program, acting in plays and going to drama club. I also am in the marching band, where I play the flute. These commitments, just like golf, teach me how to be a better goals setter, to be more confident, patient and to be a determined individual.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
