Hello, my name is Dulce Gefke I am a student at Stoughton High School and currently play on the girl's varsity golf team. I had started to play golf with my dad. I soon realized that I fell in love with the sport. After my sophomore year, I came to the realization that I wanted to get better so I worked hard and dropped on average 20 strokes during my junior year. I feel I have tremendous upside in the game of golf. I have a strong base in the fundamentals of golf and with the right coaching, I will be a great addition to any team. I am a positive and uplifting person. I check in on my teammates, encourage and uplift them while keeping a competitive nature. My summer goal is to break 80 from 6,200 yards. Although I love golf, academics come first. If I am struggling with work in the classroom I have learned that speaking with my teacher and asking for extra help has helped me succeed. This year I took one AP class, next year I will be taking two AP classes. I participate in multiple sports in high school, with this I have learned how to manage my time with athletics and academics. I have learned that communicating with my teachers in advance goes a long way when missing class for sporting events.
