I would like to share a recommendation letter from my High School Social Science teacher and Golf Coach. I believe it highlights my dedication to excelling in academics, and athletics. I also feel it outlines my involvement in all aspects of my school and community. I very much want to attend a college that is a great fit for me academically and I can be a contributor and great teammate. I believe that I can be a great addition to your college community!
To Whom It May Concern:
It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Margaret Warrner in consideration of your excellent academic institution. First, let me tell you that Maggie is a great student in that she receives above average grades in all of her classes. For example, as a student in many of my classes, Maggie maintained an “A” average throughout each course which is a testament to her work habits and study skills. Not only is Maggie a good student, but she also excels in extracurriculars as well. For instance, she has been very active in athletics. During her high school career Maggie has been a three sport athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, and of course her favorite sport golf. Maggie has a passion for the game of golf that I have not seen in any other golfer in our program. Her work ethic is tremendous and more importantly her understanding of the game is at an elite level for high school golfers. I have no doubt that Maggie will be nothing but a bright spot for your program. Furthermore, being from a smaller school, Maggie must compete during the boy’s golf season since we do not have a girl’s program. This has not stopped Maggie from attaining her goals however. In fact, Maggie has been a first team all-conference player since her freshman year and was the conference player of the year last year. I have no doubt that Maggie will repeat those accolades as she enters her senior year.
Not only is Maggie a tremendous golfer, but she is a school leader. She is involved in numerous school organizations. For example, Maggie is a part of SkillsUSA, student council, and is also a member of the PBIS student team just to name a few. All of these added responsibilities has made Maggie a highly respected student in our school. Not only is Maggie respected by her peers but she is also held in very high regard by the staff and administration as well. Even more impressive is that Maggie works two jobs in order to defray the cost of her future college tuition which just points to her work ethic as a person. I have no reservation whatsoever that Maggie will continue to work hard in the future not only to meet her golfing goals, but also her educational goals as well.
Maggie is a friendly, outgoing person that is well respected by her peers, the faculty, and the administration. In sum, Maggie is a hard working student who possesses the knowledge, motivation, and dedication, to her education and extracurriculars, which is a rare combination of compliments for a student today. For these reasons, I recommend Ms. Margaret Warrner for your excellent academic institution without reservation.
If you have any questions about Ms. Margaret Warrner, or desire more information, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Michael J. McCann
