Growing up in a ski town the room for golfers, let alone women golfers, was limited. I was only introduced to the sport 4 years ago giving me a later start then most, but that just served as motivation. With less than a year of playing under my belt I tried out for the High School Girls golf team in Steamboat Springs Colorado. After competing at the varsity level for the season, me and 3 others became the first 4 to ever compete in the Colorado 4A Girls Golf Regionals in the history of Steamboat Springs High School Girls Golf. Unfortunately I fell short by only 2 strokes to go and compete at the State tournament, but I was able to watch 2 of my friends and my coach compete at the State Tournament.
I was fortunate enough to be a part of an amazing program in Colorado for a year before moving to Wyoming, where I was lucky enough to join an equally amazing program. I learned how the values of hard work, perseverance, teamwork and a positive attitude can help yourself and your teammates accomplish their goals. I’m searching for a school that will not only help me reach my full potential as an athlete but also as a student. Not only do I have the work ethic, but the leadership skills and perseverance to be a leader on your team!
