Katie Flaten '24 Recruiting Profile

Three words I would use to describe myself are diligent, enthusiastic, and resilient. I started gymnastics later than most of my peers, but I have managed to get far because of my maturity and enormous work ethic. I approach gymnastics with passion, however when learning new skills, I use my analytical skills to make adjustments and correct myself. My coaches will tell you that I am extremely coachable and that I have a great attitude. Giving up is not in my nature and perhaps the thing I like about myself the most is my ability to persevere in the face of adversity. This sport has taught me so much and I cannot wait to learn more. Being an NCAA gymnast is one of my biggest dreams and I’m willing to do what it takes to make it a reality.
