I have been in gymnastics since I could walk. My mom put me in one ballet class and one gymnastics class, and had me choose at 3 years old. I chose gymnastics and never looked back. Everyone knows me as the girl who does flips, but no one knows what it's like doing it all of your life. It's a fulfilling, time consuming, and draining sport. But most of all, it's worth it. Not only did I learn all of the physical aspects of it, I also learned the mental and emotional parts too. Through gymnastics I became confident and a team player. I've learned how to handle challenges and mental blocks while keeping a positive attitude. I know how to push myself and encourage others around me to do the same. I believe I can be a good role model attitude-wise and provide good energy for any team. Even if my day is not going my way, I will make sure that everyone else's remains upbeat. Gymnastics has always been in my corner, making me who I am today. I couldn't see myself doing anything else. College gymnastics has been a dream of mine ever since I knew what it was and I can't wait to see where I end up.
