Hi, my name is Kayedence Spone. I am currently a senior in high school from Talkeetna, Alaska. I play for the Middlesex Black Bears HC u19 team in Andover, MA. I began playing hockey when I was eight. Shortly after my passion for the sport grew, my sisters began playing. This sport has given me a new family and brought mine closer together.
When I'm not on the ice, I like to spend time with my family/ friends, relax, or go outside and work on stick handling/ exercise. Not only do I give 110% on the ice, but I also give 110% in everything I do. I keep my head high and power through every challenge I face. I constantly push myself and my teammates to improve since we must work together to accomplish our goals.
I am a committed, coachable, and hardworking player. When I'm on the ice, my only thoughts are about the game (and the smart moves to make) or the practice (and the things I need to work on). As an intelligent, heads-up skater, I have a good view of the ice at all times, which helps ensure I make the right pass, at the right time, to help guarantee my team a goal. I always play my most decisive game, especially in the defensive zone, where I ensure no one gets into my house and block as many shots as possible.
I am just as serious about hockey as I am about my studies because they both fit hand in hand to ensure my dream of playing college/university-level hockey.
