My name is Avery Hall and I am a 2023 graduating goalie. Ever since I joined hockey when I was five years old, I’ve fallen in love with the sport and grown into who I am in and out of the rink. I would love to continue growing into my future self inside the rink after I complete high school.
I have always been known for my extremely optimistic perspectives as well as my compassion and empathy towards my peers, friends, classmates, and teammates. A great quality I have been known to have is always being able to make someone smile. I think that this is really important not just in life but also in the game of hockey. Small acts of kindness and encouragement can go a long way in someone’s game. One of my strongest abilities is being able to push myself to reach the next level no matter how long or challenging the journey may be. On the ice, I am always determined to play at maximum competitiveness and effort. I never give up on the puck.
This value also traces into academics as I typically find myself taking extra hours out of my week to study and get a better understanding of concepts. I like to feel prepared for exams and confident in my understanding of the subject.
Additionally, I like to take on rolls such as running the teams social media. In my second year of U18 AA, I took on managing the teams Instagram account. I did things such as post player of the game, goal scorers/assists, events coming up in the city, upcoming games, final scores of games, player profiles, etc.
