I was born in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, before my parents chose at age 3 to move our family to Lacombe Alberta, a smaller city of 14,000 people. Here I started playing competitive hockey at the age of 4 at the initiation level and was a consistent goal scorer with a penchant for defending my defensive zone first. It became evident I was a goaltender and became one at the age of 6 with the Lacombe Rockets Minor Hockey Association. My last year with boys hockey we finished our season 17-0, but lost in the last game of the playoffs. I then decided to play female hockey at the age of 10 and joined the Sutterfund Cheifs in Red Deer, Alberta. It has been an excellent move as I have been a league champion in 2020, and another undefeated season in 2022, with an unfortunate loss in the final game of the Provincial Championship. We unfortunately did the same in 2024! I now am on the Red Deer U18AA Acura Cheifs as we compete for the AFHL league championship.
I am also the starting goaltender for Team Westcan Elite, out of Calgary, Alberta. I am entering my 4th year with this showcase team, and the girls and I have competed in The Orion Cup in Winnipeg, Manitoba (2022), The North American Female Elite Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota (2022-2025). During the NAFES Tournament I was named player of the game for every game I played, and in the championship game in 2023 I was honored with the award of Goalie of the Tournament, an accomplishment I'm very proud of. In 2024 Team WestCan and I were finally of age to enter the Wizards Showcase in Bedford, Massachusetts, and we will be there again in June 2025. I have also played internationally in 2023 with NothernLights Hockey from Madison, Wisconsin, as we competed in The Lions Cup in Sweden and Finland. I was the only Canadian on an American team, and was only 14 at the time in a U20 tournament, which featured some Swedish and Finnish Olympians. These experiences and the professional goaltending coaching I have had available to me has made me a very solid, true butterfly goalie who is very hard to beat. I am not flashy and do not jump around in my net to energize my team. Instead I believe the best leadership skill i give my team is calm, consistent goaltending that they know I have our end covered, so go get the offense that we need to win! It has been a great journey for a goalie from small town Lacombe, Alberta, and I am looking forward to what my hockey future holds at the NCAA level. Every team needs a #1 goalie who's a gamer, and with me thats what you get, full energy, full heart, and one that always shows up giving 110% at all times!
I always place in the top 10 for my school's track and field meets, and am always invited to a very competitive track meet in my area.
In my free time I usually practice all of my other sport skills, like lacrosse, basketball, badminton, running, etc. I am also a very avid golfer and work on my game all summer. I also am a gym rat who likes to further enhance my strength and cardio. I play guitar well, both acoustic and electric, and have a part time job at a local grocery store.
