I started playing hockey when I was 10 years old because of my brother and instantly loved it. I play well on defense, but can play elsewhere if needed. I believe I would be a good candidate for a women's college hockey team not only because I enjoy what I am doing but also because I would like to be of the opinion that my temperament is that of a good team player.
I am different from the all of the other recruits because I have grown up in Arizona and have a different perspective on life's challenges. This is because I have to try just that much harder to be the best that I can be even when there is not as many opportunities available to me as opposed to others, such as hockey players in the Northeast. When I go to college I not only want to pursue my athletic career in women's hockey, but my academic one in forensic science as well.
