Growing up playing hockey in Arizona is not easy, especially when you live in Tucson. I started playing hockey in seventh grade, but I did not begin with ice hockey due to the lack of ice in Tucson. I began playing roller hockey for the Junior Wildcats instead, where I discovered my love for the sport. In my first year playing competitive roller hockey, my team won the 2020 IHAAZ State Championship, and shortly after I began playing ice hockey. Playing competitive hockey has always been my preferred way to play and I want to continue playing competitively at the collegiate level. I enjoy playing competitive hockey because it challenges you to become a better person. It is about teamwork, setting goals, and being coachable. These are all skills that I will use as I pursue my professional career after college. I was selected in 2022 to play in the World Skate Games in Argentina. There I played for the Jr. Women's USA roller hockey team where we ended up getting 2nd place while competing against multiple different countries.
