I started playing ice hockey when I was 11 years old, I am a 2004 who will soon graduate in 2021, and I am currently a senior in high school with a few AP classes on my plate. On my first club team (14AA2, at 12 year old), I was the worst skater, my shots were fluttery, and I had little to no hockey sense; I was behind. Since then, because of immense amounts of skating lessons, sticktimes, and external workouts I have become the quick, strong, confident player I am today. Throughout the years I am proud to say I have obtained a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, drive, and have played national bound hockey (at both AA and AAA level) with the Anaheim Lady Ducks and will continue to do so for the next year before I graduate.
Academically, I am interested in pursuing Sports Medicine in college. Looking for Kinesiology, Biology, and Exercise Science.
I am primarily interested in playing NCAA DIII (and **now ACHA D1) hockey because, in my mind, academics is just as important, and in some instances more important, than athletics. I seek being able to simultaneously study medicine and play hockey in college.
