I play hockey is because I genuinely love the sport. Hockey has added so much to my character and who I am as a person, and it’s taught me discipline and determination. I look forward to being on the ice every practice, and I’m always happier after getting off the ice than I was going onto it.
In both my academic and athletic life, I’ve made many accomplishments. For one, I excel in school, maintaining a weighted 4.67 GPA during my junior year, and almost always having A’s in every class I’ve taken. For hockey, I’ve played club travel hockey for about six years, and in the eight or so years I’ve been playing, I’ve become a skilled player who my coaches rely on to score and protect our defensive zone. My team from the 2020-2021 season made it to the quarterfinals of Tier 2 Nationals, which I consider one of the best experiences and accomplishments of my hockey career.
I can make a positive impact on any team I join or college I attend, whether it be through making friends and bonding with the team and students, or by being a good student and hockey player who adds to the overall effectiveness of a team or line. I’m a very outgoing person, and I try to be as helpful and positive as I can be in order to help others or the group I’m with.
