My name is Beatrice Gamboa-Estrella. I live in Simi Valley California. I have played Volleyball for over 8 years and I currently play for LAVA (Los Angeles Volleyball Academy) Ventura 17 Adidas Team. I am 5'10', right handed, pin hitter and I am capable of playing other positions. I have experience in playing middle blocker, defensive specialist and Libero. I am currenlty playing Beach Volleyball with Its a Ten Beach Volleyball Club. I have been playing Beach Volleyball for three years competitively. I would like to major in Social Work or Psychology with an emphasis in child protection. Ideally the size the of the university or college I attend does not impact my decision to chose a particular school. I would love to continue my volleyball career by playing volleyball (indoor and/or beach) at a collegiate level. Although 2020-2021 was a challenging year, I feel I overcame those challenges by maintaining my focus, dedication, and perseverance by bettering myself as a student athlete. During the pandemic I continued to excel by practicing indoor and sand throughout the year. I also took on the challenge of obtaining a personal trainer to work on my strength and conditioning.
