Personal Statement
My name is Sophia and I am from Frisco, Colorado. Being raised in a small ski town, I grew up doing everything outside, especially pond skating, which sparked my passion for hockey. I started playing hockey when I was 8, and have played with various teams including Summit Youth Hockey, Vail Mountaineers, Aspen Leafs AA Hockey, Mountain Militia Hockey, and Summit High School Varsity Hockey. After I graduate in 2020, I will pursue a career in the medical field. I am a well rounded person, balancing my sports and academics in order to maintain a high GPA and consistently perform to the best of my ability on my hockey teams. Having a strong passion for playing hockey, I want to continue my hockey career in college.
