Annalena Heuten '22 Recruiting Profile

When I was 5 years old, I wanted to play ice hockey. The coaches would have us try out all positions. However, the only position I was always interested in was the goaltender position! I had a great experience playing with our local boys’ team. I played Pewee AA, Bantam A and a AAA boys spring team. Two years I played with a AAA girls tournament team (Team Colorado) and with a AAA girls spring team. I enjoyed it so much that I started playing for girls full season team (Littleton Hawks U14 Girls AA)  as well as Team Colorado U14 Girls Tier 1 again.  Last season (2018/2019) I was the goaltender for the Team Colorado U16 Girls Tier 1 team.

I participated in the USA Hockey Colorado State Camp and was selected as a 2003 Goalie to attend the USA Hockey Western Regional / Multi-District Camp in June 2018 and 2019.

This season (2019/2020) I continue to be goaltender for Team Colorado U16 Girls Tier 1. A link to a video summary of the first part of my season is part of my profile.

As for my professional career, I would like to focus on Physical Education. I really enjoy helping people get better while also being physically active. 

In school I started to enjoy Math this year as well. I think it is becoming my favorite class, besides PE of course.

My parents are both German natives and so I grew up speaking English as well as German plus I was able to immerse in those 2 cultures. We visit our family in Germany whenever we can and explore neighboring countries.
