Hi, my name is Sydney. I love to play hockey, and I would love to play competitively throughout college. Playing hockey has given me so many opportunities to play on a variety of teams and meet so many teammates, which has allowed me to develop my skills as a hockey player. I think I am a definitive positive influence on the ice, I may not be the loudest individual but I lead through talking to my teammates and communicating on the ice, and by my actions on the ice. I have had the opportunity to play hockey since I was really little, I grew up in a hockey family, with my dad being a amazing influence in being my coach for several years. I originally began my hockey experience in an offensive position, but I have learned over the past couple years that defense is indeed my position. It allows me to see the ice and see the great plays and passes ahead of me. I currently attend to Suffield High School in Suffield Connecticut, and I am apart of the Agriscience program. I am also involved in a variety of clubs such as Best Buddies and Student Council. I also play a variety of other sports including field hockey which I earned a Coaches Award last season. I also participated on the lacrosse team at my high school. I currently play for the girls ice hockey team at my high school for the Wildcats, where I am a starting defender. I also play for the Thunderbirds on the U19 Tier 2 team.
