Personal Statement

I started playing hockey when I was 10 years old. Ever since I started playing hockey, my biggest goal has been to play in college. I know that being able to play in college takes lots of hard work and dedication. I know that I have what it takes to achieve that goal.

When I'm playing hockey, it feels like I am in a different world. From when I get to the rink, to the moment I leave for home I am focused on the game. I work incredibly hard to improve my skills. Every time I get to the rink I strive to improve not only myself but my teammates as well. I always enjoy learning new things about the sport and what I can do to improve myself to reach my goals.

In school, I always want to do the best I can. I do everything I can to make sure all of my assignments are in on time. I always enjoy learning new things every day. I also strive to keep my GPA high. At school, I am a part of many different clubs such as PAWS, Educators Rising, Student Ambassadors, Yearbook Club, and I was just accepted into National Honors Society.

I want to go to a college where I can be challenged. I want to be able to expand my knowledge in my schooling as well as in hockey. I want to find a college that will allow me to compete at the highest level that is right for me. I am planning on being a middle and high school history teacher after I graduate.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
