My club volleyball team was built on the idea of allowing multi-sport athletes to play competitive volleyball with less expense, while being able to play other sports. My friends' mom was, and still is, my coach. Since my age group is the oldest team in Fierce Elite Volleyball Club, I've learned to be a role-model and leader to the younger girls. Playing both club soccer and club volleyball has exposed me to working along with different players and balancing my schedule.
The soccer season of 2016-2017 was rough. My club team was low on players, because all of the older girls on my team left. That season, I had to be a leader, since I had become one of the oldest players. Taking on the role of a leader, I learned to be even more positive, not only towards my teammates, but also myself. That year really showed me that mentality is an important factor of the game. The 2018 Junior National Championships was an incredible experience. My team and I didn't see one team that didn't belong there; every team was solid. It was in this arena that I saw my own play heightened and I saw just how much my play will intensify.
I know I have the right mentality, physicality, and mechanics to compete and train at the college level.
