Playing women's basketball on one of the biggest stages possible has always been my biggest dream. When I play basketball I don't think about anything other than the game, it's the best feeling seeing the ball go through the net. Swishing a deep range three, getting an and one and making the free-throw, that feeling is priceless.
Helping my team win a championship game in a USJN tournament during 8th grade year and playing one of my better games in a time where my team needed me most, was one of the greatest moments in my career. On the other hand, while in 8th grade I played for my school team our record was 14-2, but during the city of lights championship game we ended up losing by three points despite our best efforts. Both of these experiences showed me something that I will need in my back pocket for the rest of my career. The win showed me that confidence is built before and during the game, and a good player can keep it with them after the game. The loss showed me that it's not about how many points you put up on the board it's about how hard you work, and how hard you are willing to work before, during and after the game. To be honest I cannot remember a time when I was not in love with basketball, I would watch all the bulls games with my dad... I would sit right next to him and watch them play, it was like clockwork. My dad first put me on a basketball team when I was 4, since my very first game I knew this was something I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. Nothing else in the world has made me feel this type of way. Basketball is and hopefully always will be my life.
