2013 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Hi, my name is Logan Harper. I am the oldest of six kids and I want to be a coach in the future, so I want a good coach that I can learn from to help me become the best coach I can be. This season I will be playing for the Boston Shamrocks in the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL). I made the decision to play in Boston this year to help me become the elite hockey player I want to become. Before last season, I didn't really score that many goals, I was more of a play maker and the person who worked hard in the corners to get the puck. This past season I was one of the leading scorers on my team. I look to continue this style of play, along with the play maker and grinder style, through next season. For the past three years I was also on the Warren Township Girls High School Hockey team, I played on this team because my school didn't have a girls team. I was named Alternate captain my freshman year and by junior year, I was named Captain. I will not be playing on this team this coming season. My goals for the future are to play the best hockey I can and go to a good school to help prepare me for what I want to do after college. The aspect that makes me different from other recruits is I give everything I have to give every time I step on the ice. I love the game of hockey and I'm always looking to improve my game whether it be on the ice or off the ice. I know I will make a great addition to your team because of my playing style and effort! On an academic note, the GPA that I have on my profile is from my time at Carmel Catholic High School, which used the seven point grading scale. This season in Boston we are working with Curtis Brackenbury for power skating and Mike Boyle for weight lifting.
