I have been playing hockey for nine years now and currently play AAA Tier I hockey for Team Illinois U19 team.. I am a very hard working person and have many other positive traits about me, too. I am always setting new goals for myself, a good listener, always pushing my teammates and myself to be the best version of ourselves and I am a very uplifting person. I always try to include everyone, and when someone is having an off day, I do my best to keep them positive. I am a very competitive person and am always looking for an opportunity to do my best and be better than I was before. Even though I am almost always smiling, I have the grit and heart to get to work and achieve success.
My education is also extremely important to me. I attend Benet Academy where I am currently an Honor Roll student with a 3.8/4.0 and I am an active member in Benet's National Honors Society. Challenging myself with AP and Honors courses has helped me with my time management skills and creative thinking, all while preparing me for college. The motivation and discipline that I use in sports also helps me in school. Motivation will get me started but my discipline drives me through the finish line. I truly believe the academic rigor at Benet has bettered me as a person by providing me with opportunities to show my leadership, provide service back to my community and working hard in and out of the classroom. My hockey and academic experience have worked synergistically, reinforcing my resolve to achieve my dreams both on and off the ice.
