My personal ambition is to attend a university and play hockey at the highest level. My academic goals include study in the areas of science and math. As an undergraduate student, I plan to study either Biology or Exercise Science and Athletic Training. My long term goal is to serve as a Chiropractor. For my entire elementary, middle school, high school and athletic career, I always strive to be the best student-athlete I can be. I am a hard charger and determined to achieve my academic and athletic goals. I currently have a 3.54-grade point average.
Over the past five years, I have played hockey at a very competitive level. In 2015, I was recruited by an all-girls travel team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I played on this team for two years traveling all over Ontario competing in several tournaments. I served as an alternate captain for both of these years. For the past year, I played on a Bantam team in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan while being the only girl on that team (and serving as team captain). For the upcoming 2019/2020 hockey season, I was recruited to play on a Midget boys travel team and I am extremely excited for this opportunity. Over my entire hockey career, I received awards for “best defenseman” and received tournament MVP on multiple occasions.
I am a leader both in the classroom and on the ice. I look forward to pursuing my college-level academic goals while playing hockey for a university. Thank you for considering me to become a member of your team’s culture.
