When I was younger, I only watched hockey. After so much spectating, however, I decided that I wanted to play, because I knew I could do it better than the other kids. So, I joined the team, and now I can't even imagine my life without hockey. I have played various sports, but none can compare to hockey. Absolutely nothing beats the feeling of stepping on the ice, or waking up and realizing that it's game day. Hockey seems to give me something to look forward to, something to work for, and something to believe in. I think that hockey players are the most passionate athletes, and I want to play the sport that I can't live without for as long as I can. I would say that my strengths include my passion, aggressiveness, speed, and defensive awareness. I am very interested in playing ice hockey at a collegiate level. While I am at college, I hope to befriend new teammates and create a bond that can't be broken, as I have in these past years of playing. My parents always talk about how playing a college sport was one of their best decisions, and they are still great friends with their old teammates. I hope to find that great experience at college, and I believe I would be a great asset to any college program- academically and athletically.
