Personal Statement

I am writing this letter on behalf of Noel Neumann.

When I first met Noel she came to me for Ice Hockey Lessons. Little did I know Noel was a “Late Bloomer” in the most specialized sport we have today, Ice Hockey. Fact is most Hockey players start out around the ages of 4-6 years old. So even though Noel was way behind and needed a lot of training to even have a remote chance of making a team, Noel was up for the challenge. Her first words to me were, Coach Noga; I currently am playing AA Hockey, but I am going out to the AAA Chicago Mission & AAA Chicago Fury tryouts in 6 months & I want to not just make the team I want to be one of the best. I told Noel I could get her there only if she was 100% committed Noel replies with not a problem.

Noel came across to me as a young woman who really displayed some of the most important qualities a person needs these days to be successful. Most of all, her kindness was second to none. Noel has a tremendous perspective on life, family, a relentless work ethic, and proved to me that she is the definition of commitment. Most of all Noel is teachable, coach-able, and very determined to succeed. Last season Noel was one of the top scorers on her team, something truly remarkable in how far Noel developed her Hockey talent in such a short time through nothing but “Skill Development”. Her focus on all of those great qualities a person needs to succeed in life and her Hockey development showed me that Noel will have a great AAA year with the Chicago Fury, in the class room and especially on the Ice rink. I also realized with Noel’s relentless commitment I believe she can continue to play at the collegiate level.

Over the years of training Noel in Hockey, we had the chance to get to know one other. After watching her reach a personal goal after goal throughout the years, I now know Noel Neumann is ready for whatever the world throws at her!

After training almost 500 Hockey players in my career I can say that Noel is ready for the next big challenge that comes her way, and I believe that with all of my heart.

Thank you,

Matt Noga
