Ellie Zakrajsheck '25 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was four years old, I have loved the game of hockey. Since I have grown up in Minnesota, I have been blessed to have the people and resources around me to push me to be my absolute best. I am currently playing for the Minnetonka Skippers Varsity team. My coaches at Minnetonka have told me that I am very coachable and positive, I have an amazing work ethic and drive, and I am a very disciplined and smart hockey player. Which has helped me become a very reliable center on my team. 

This year I am very fortunate to be able to play with and against some of the top hockey players in the country. During the 2021-2022 season my team and I earned second place in the Minnesota High school class AA championships. However, this was not good enough for my teammates and I. This year we came back with a new attitude, and that attitude was to be better than you were the shift, practice or game before. I have fully embodied this attitude by working the hardest I can no matter what. Through this I am making myself, my teammates and our team as a whole better. This year I am confident that if my team and I continue to embody this attitude we will  win the State Championship this year. I will do whatever I can to make this happen. In the future I am looking for a team that embodies this attitude and pushes me to be better, that also fits me academically. I believe that I not only have the skills and talent to compete for a college team, but also the character, drive, mindset and leadership skills to make an impact on your team!
