I've been playing hockey since I was 6 years old. I became interested in playing hockey from watching my younger brothers play. My dad was a goalie and I always got excited when it was my turn to play goalie as a mite.
Sports have always been my favorite thing to do. I have played many sports over the years but now I play volleyball, hockey and softball. Volleyball and softball are my off-season sports to stay in shape for hockey season. I am still fully committed to these other sports and take them very seriously.
I want to play college hockey because I love the sport. It has been everything to me since I started playing. College hockey would give me the opportunity to play as long as possible.
Because I love sports so much, I looked into a career in exercise physiology or sports medicine. I pick up anything involving athletics very easily. Whether it being playing Ultimate Frisbee in P.E., weight room or skating Herbies during practice, I always am working harder than everyone. I might not be first done with skating or benching the most, that always drives me to work harder and be the best I can be.
Hard work carries off the ice too. School always comes before sports. Sometimes its tough to make school come before sports but it has to be done. I make sure to finish homework before practice and keep my grades up during the sports season.
