Hello Coaches,
My name is Tristyn Wolner. I am a 2026 Left Wing. I attend the Redwood Valley High School but play hockey for the New Ulm Eagles. As a junior, I was chosen as a captain for my high school team this season. Since I started playing hockey at age 8, I’ve wanted to be a great player that gets to play college level hockey. Over the past years, I have realized how skillful of a player I can become and I have been working towards that goal. I want to grow as an athlete so I can attend a great college and play the sport that I love! I want to get a good education and work towards a degree in the medical field specializing in pediatrics. Education is very important to me so I have a plan in place for when it’s time for me to hang up my gear. I work hard on and off the ice. I maintain my grades at A’s. I am in my junior year and I am enrolled in AP Pre Calculus and Trigonometry, Honors Chemistry, College World Geography. I have been in accelerated math since I was in 5th grade. I am also taking accelerated English again this year. I have played on multiple summer/fall teams including 14U Midwest Stampede, 14U River City Selects and 14U FCA hockey. This past summer I was part of the 19U FCA team and had the opportunity to go to Boston and play in the Chowder Cup. It was a great experience! I was also chosen through tryouts to participate in HP 16's which was really fun! I have also played on a 16u Premier Prep team for 2 years. I enjoy playing on more than just one team because I believe it makes me a stronger player and helps develop my hockey smarts/awareness. This coming AAA season, I will be playing another year with FCA on a 16U team and plan to tryout for HP 17's in the spring. I feel that I have learned more and have found new techniques with the variety of coaching I have received. I also feel playing on multiple teams has taught me to keep my cool when things aren’t going the way I want them to go. I believe I’ve grown not only as an athlete, but as a person, friend, daughter, and student because of the game of hockey. Things I do when I’m not at the rink are hangout with my friends, listen to music, go on runs, and workout. I hope this helped you learn more on who I am on the ice and off the ice, feel free to reach out to me!
If you think I would/will fit in well with your team and school, I would love to talk with you to learn more about your school and hockey team! Message me if you have any questions!
