Lexie Ligday '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lexie Ligday from Stillwater Minnesota.    Currently I play on the Stillwater High School Varsity team. I graduate in 2020. I consider myself as a team leader on and off the ice.   When I am playing I give 100% effort and I always leave a good impression for the rest of my teammates.   Off the ice, my teammates look up to me and I try and be the most positive role model I can be.   I love my teammates and I make it clear that I would do anything for them and they can trust me.   As a player I strive to be an offensive defenseman, show patience with the puck and make smart choices in transition.   My goal next hockey season is to be one of the top defensive scorers in the conference.

Just to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a right-handed defenseman for my high school team.  I have been playing with the varsity team since I was in 8th grade.   After high school my goal is to play college hockey.   I currently train with Winny Brodt’s Junior White Caps program for off season training.   I have participated in the CCM High Performance Program in Minnesota and have advanced to the Festival the past two years.

My schoolwork is very important to me and I try and get the best grades possible.   I have a strong work ethic both in sports and schoolwork.   As a student I respect my teachers and peers very much.
