My ice hockey journey started while I was watching the 2014 Winter Olympics. I was sitting on the couch watching the Women's USA Team. I was watching the aggression and the amazing skill that these women have. I had no idea that women could even play Ice hockey. While watching them play I turn to my parents and say I wanna play hockey. I started when I was 9 years old, and since then my skill has improved everyday. My playing style is very aggressive and technical with my positioning. To improve my playing ability I do off ice and on ice training with my private coach. I would consider myself a type of player that cares about everyone and will try to make sure people are motivated to play at their best ability. I am also very outspoken and if there is a problem on the team I will stand up for people and try to get the problem resolved.
A college that I am looking for is a great community of coaches and players. I want a community that will stand by you with any situation that may come about, and also a community that will give a great amount of resources to get through school while playing a college sport. I’m still trying to figure out my major but I am very interested in the medical field. It brings me joy when I can step up and help others in any way possible.
I’m really excited to keep working at my goal of playing college Ice hockey, and I hope I can find a college with great people and a good support group.
