Hi, my name is Jordan Dix and I'm a junior at Parkway South High School. I started running about 8 years ago with a small group called Girls on the Run, coached by my mom. My mom really got me into running and she's always been a major role model for me in any aspect of life. Both of my parents have been running for a long time but have always taught me to do something that I love. Going into high school, I realized running was something I definitely wanted to commit to, and knowing that early, I learned how to balance academics and sports. So far, throughout running in high school I've learned I'm a very headstrong person and I set goals to meet them. I'm a very direct, confident person and I like to get things done when I'm told about them. Since starting high school I've always wanted to find a career in law and find a school that'll support my academic goals. My dad has always pushed me to be the best I can be while growing up, he guided me to find the right path for my future. I wasn't sure if I wanted to run in college or just go to school somewhere farther away. As I got through my first year of high school and running I fell in love with the sport and the competitiveness. I knew I wanted to continue this sport as long as I could and continue to break personal records.
